Services:

The Antonine Sisters’ Adult Day Care offers many services to provide the help and the care that many of our elderly need:

THERAPY: The Antonine Sisters Adult Day Care provides PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, AND SPEECH THERAPY. Elderly who need therapy can receive the service right here on site. A doctor’s prescription is requested. Therapy is also available for Outpatients that are not enrolled in our day care program but who wish to receive therapy.

BEAUTY SALON: Those who need their hair washed, cut, set, or permed sit under the gentle hands of our hairdresser, and watch their face turn into that of a beauty contest candidate.

PODIATRY CARE: Dr. Robert Diebec from Ankle & Foot Care Center comes on a monthly basis to take care of toenails services for our elderly participants.

NURSING SERVICES:
Nursing care is provided daily with individual attention to sepcial needs. Licensed nurses perform the following tasks: Initial assessment on admission, monitoring of vital signs, administering medications, dressing changes, blood sugar testing, catheter care, tube feeding, suctioning and tracheotomy care.

ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP: A support group for caregivers convenes at the day care every third Monday of the month. The meeting is facilitated by a member from the Alzheimer’s Association, usually a social worker, and one of the sisters who is an RN.

TRANSPORTATION: Whether participants live in North Jackson, Youngstown, Niles, Warren, or any other area of both Mahoning and Trumbull counties, transportation is provided for them if desired. It is a major service for both participants and their family members, especially those who have no other means of transportation.
